2012 Open House & Tack Sale
Mark your calendars because the WHHR Open House and Tack Sale is coming up on July 7th, 2012. We are very excited as this event moves into its fifth year, and it just keeps getting bigger!
Last summer we welcomed crowds of well wishers from across Southern Ontario who stopped in to say hello, support the rescue and meet the horses. There was something for everyone with a tack sale in the arena, a huge garage sale filling the front yard, raffles, a hat sale (cancer drive) and our other furry friends such as Lucy llama and Ziggy piggy just to mention a few. Each year we have a BBQ, bake sale and coffee for hungry guests sponsored by great community partners. Tickets are available for purchase to win lots of great door prizes donated by many wonderful individuals, families and businesses.
You can do a spring clean up and donate your itmes to the garage sale!
Donate a Prize table item!
Donate some hamburgers, hotdogs or suasages for our BBQ!
Bake for the bake sale!
There are many ways you can hlep us make this a success to continue helping the many horses that we take in.
Our Training Method
Chris Irwin's training philosophy is what we believe in and utilize here at Whispering Hearts Horse Rescue.
Often times people will ask, "how do you work with all these abused and untrained horses?" The Chris Irwin program is what has provided us the tools to reach deep into the souls of these horses, and the knowlege on how to work through the fear issues many of these horses have developed do to human injustice and ignorance.
Please visit www.chrisirwin.com to see for yourself the common sense approach to horsemanship.
“Where the Whispers of Many Horses in Need are Heard”This organization is privately funded by the efforts of the owners, and kind donations of like minded animal lovers.
It is all Volunteers, who are many, that donate their time and efforts which allows Whispering Heart’s to operate.
Since being established in 2007, WHHR has saved over 150 horses in need. We are proud to say that many of these have now been adopted out to permanent loving homes as a result of our efforts and dedication to our cause.
Many thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped us make our dream come true,
Brenda and Dave.
Our mandate is to provide care and rehabilitation
to abused and neglected horses.
We assist members of the community
that can no longer care for their horses,
in an attempt to prevent innocent animals
being subjected to the auctions and slaughter.
Please review our website to see if there is a small way you can help. "Bread may feed my body, but my horse feeds my soul."
